The Dogs of Knox Fund Inc. is NOT a rescue organization. We assist with the needs of the dogs at the Knox County Animal Shelter.
We encourage adoption from our shelter.
Adoption fee is $120.00 and includes license for the current year, bordatella, DHPP and rabies vaccines, spay/neuter, heartworm test, one-month heartworm preventative, microchip and registration.
To meet adoptable dogs you can visit the shelter at 285 Columbus Road Mount Vernon, OH 43050. Adoption hours are 10:00 am - 3:00 pm Monday-Saturday (Closed Sunday). The shelter phone number is 740-393-6713.

When most people—namely, non-animal lovers—think of shelter dogs, the picture that comes to mind is a vicious, volatile creature who’s been surrendered to the shelter because it bit it's owner one too many times.
